The Ministry of Education published, Thursday, September 25, in the Official Journal (Jort n ° 118), six orders relating to the increase in the compensation of teachers, directors, supervisors and educational inspectors. These measures, applicable retroactively, provide for the payment of arrears in September 2026.

Three texts set new compensation for managers of secondary establishments. Decree No. 417/2025 brings the annual function compensation to 3,780 dinars for the main directors, 3090 dinars for main assistant directors, 2760 dinars for directors and 2040 dinars for general supervisors.

At the same time, orders No. 420 and 421/2025 widen the measures to the supervisors of public colleges and high schools as well as to the general supervisors, with a revaluation of the compensation linked to the digital database and to school time.

Retroactive effects but delayed payments

Order No. 418 and 419/2025 increase the special compensation intended to cover the costs of school supplies for primary, college, secondary and pilot high schools. Decree No. 422/2025 establishes a new assignment compensation for the benefit of educational inspectors of all cycles.

These increases are applicable from October 2022, January 2024 and January 2025 as case. However, the arrears relating to the years 2022 and 2024 will only be paid until September 2026, at the same time as the balance due for the 2024-2025 school year.
