New feat for Tunisian sport! Rameuses Khadija Krimi and Salma Dhaouadi won the silver medal on Thursday at the world rowing championships which take place in Shanghai (China).
Engaged in the test of the two of couple of light weights, the two Tunisian athletes achieved a time of 07: 40.90, allowing them to climb on the second step of the world podium behind the Chinese duo Jiake Xu and Ling Fu, sacred world champion in 7: 26.12. The bronze medal returned to the Peruvian palacios and Valeria Palacios, authors of a time of 7: 46.04.
Confirmation after Paris 2024
This feat confirms the progression of Tunisian rowing, only a few months after the brilliant participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Tunisian Federation and the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT) praised “a historical performance and a pride for the whole nation”.
In addition to the Krimi – Dhaouadi duo, Tunisia is also represented by Fadi Ben Hammouda (Skiff Open Weight) and Gaïth Ghedhiri (Skiff Lightweight), under the leadership of the national coach Chokri Ben Milad.
