The local Sidi Boubaker disaster prevention commission (GAFSA governorate) announced this Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the suspension of the afternoon session. The measurement was decided as a result of the intense rains that fell on the region and the flow of several wadis.
According to Jihad Azzaza, deputy for the local council, this suspension aims to protect students and educational staff from the risks linked to bad weather. The circulation of waters in certain wadis has strengthened flood fears, encouraging local authorities to act quickly.
The region remains on alert against the pursuit of rains. Local authorities call for vigilance and recommend avoiding non -essential movements, in particular on the outskirts of wadis and low zones.
