The Network of Meteorological Stations of the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) recorded large quantities of rain in several regions of the country between Monday 7 a.m. and Tuesday 7 a.m. Certain localities have received more than 60 mm, resulting in risk of local floods and possible disturbances in daily life.
Most affected regions
- Ariana: Sidi Thabet 69 mm, Raoued 65 mm, Charfouch 50 mm.
- Manouba: Tebourba 55 mm, chouat 43 mm, El Batan 32 mm.
- Béja: Sidi Salem 49 mm, Mejaz El Bab 41 mm, Teboursouk 37 mm.
- Sousse: Kondat 47 mm, Sidi El Hani 19 mm.
- Nabeul: Bou Argoub 38 mm, Grombalia 38 mm, Dar Allouch 33 mm.
Other regions have received more moderate rains, ranging from 1 to 30 mm, especially in the northwest and the center of the country. The rains continue locally and certain areas remain under vigilance.
The INM recalls caution on the roads and recommends avoiding unnecessary movements in areas with high accumulation of water. Local authorities are mobilized to monitor sensitive points and prevent flood risks.
