The Tunisian volleyball selection saw its journey stop this Tuesday morning in the Philippines, in the round of 16 of the world championship. The Carthage Eagles bowed to the Czech Republic in three dry sets.
The Tunisians, dominated in the first two heats, nevertheless had the opportunity to relaunch the match in the third set. Clearly in front of the score (15-8 then 19-15), they let out their advance to finally bow 23-25, thus sealing their elimination.
This setback puts an end to the global adventure of Tunisian volleyball players, who hoped to reach the quarterfinals for the first time after reaching the knockout stages of a World Cup, only three times (2006, 2022 and 2025).
