Since Monday, several regions of the country, including the Grand Tunisknow heavy rain accompanied by violent thunderstorms. The intense precipitation recorded in a short time caused a rapid rise in water in certain districts, disturbing road traffic and exposing the inhabitants at risk of floods.
Meteorological services call for caution, recalling that this type of phenomena can intensify suddenly and cause overflows of wadis, power cuts or even mobility difficulties. Local authorities, for their part, recommend citizens to avoid low areas, limit their non -urgent trips and stay away from power and trees weakened by the wind.
The authorities also disseminated a warning, inviting road users to redouble vigilance, especially near bridges, tunnels and fast axes where water can accumulate.
The situation remains under surveillance, and the civil protection teams are mobilized to intervene if necessary.
