Videos circulating on social networks show the young man pointing a false pistol towards a security patrol in Sidi Bou Saïd, on the sidelines of the activities of the “Caravan de la Flotilla de la Liberté”. In another sequence, he appears to protest strongly against a traffic police officer.
Arrested shortly after the recordings were broadcast, the suspect was placed in detention before being brought before the correctional chamber of the Tunis first instance court. Justice ruled this Friday, pronouncing a sentence of six months in prison.
