Friday, September 19, 2025, several renovated medical units and hospital services were inaugurated at Monji Slim Hospital in the Marsa, under the supervision of the Minister of Health, Mustapha Farjani.
According to the director general of the hospital, Nozha Moussa, the operating rooms were rehabilitated and the first phase of the emergency department was inaugurated at an estimated cost of 1.9 million dinars. A magnetic resonance imaging unit (MRI) has also been commissioned, at a cost of 5 million dinars, while the integration of artificial intelligence technology required an investment of 400,000 dinars.
In addition, the director announced the opening of the first national training center for traditional Chinese medicine. This center will offer a practical training space to complete the theoretical lessons given at the Faculty of Medicine in Tunis and will be open to all health professionals in all the country’s governorates.
