It should be recalled that the euro had recorded its first record against the Dinar on April 19, 2019, when it exceeded 3.3 dinars.
Since the beginning of the year, the Dinar fell 2.8 % against the euro, while it appreciated 8.4 % against the dollar since January 2025.
Explanation of the current situation
Financial analyst Bassam Neifer told the TAP agency that the current situation does not reflect internal pressures on the local currency, stressing that the last report of the Fitch rating agency confirmed the absence of pressure on the balance of payments and on the currency reserves intended for the reimbursement of the debt.
