Gaza: Twenty humanitarian agencies press the UN to intervene to stop the genocide

More than twenty international humanitarian agencies have sent an urgent letter to the United Nations and heads of state around the world, demanding immediate intervention to end the genocidal aggression led by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

The signatories are based on the report of the United Nations International International Inquiry, which concluded that four of the five acts constituting genocide, as defined by the 1948 Convention, were committed in Gaza.

A situation qualified as unprecedented and murderous

The letter claims that the current offensive constitutes the deadliest episode in the history of the Palestinian enclave. It warns against a risk of total annihilation of life in Gaza, due to the intensification of bombing and the blockade imposed by Israeli forces.

The agencies also denounce the militarization of the assistance system, recalling that thousands of people have lost their lives simply by trying to access food or water. They ask governments to act urgently to end violence and occupation.

This call comes as the Israeli army continues its massive starkeeper and bombing in the city of Gaza, further aggravating the human record and the humanitarian crisis.
