Since Monday, September 15, a collective of artists from Serbia, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia has exhibited a collection of live works under the title “Mediteraneo”.

This collective comes from a colony of artists called “Kolut Mandic” and founded in 2000, twenty-five years ago, by Branka and Miloš Mandić, a Serbian couple passionate about art.

The opening of this exhibition took place on September 15 in the presence of His Excellency Dijana Ivancic, Ambassador of Serbia to Tunisia.

Speaking, the Serbian ambassador first underlined the coincidence of the exhibition with the day of unity, freedom and the national flag, celebrated in Serbia in commemoration of the Serbian army struggle for independence during the First World War.

Mrs. Ivancic seized this opportunity to salute Tunisia and recall that our country had then welcomed 62,000 Serbian soldiers and civilians who were installed in Bizerte and its surroundings before going to the front.

The Serbian ambassador then, while mentioning the friendship between our two countries, highlighted their mutual desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of arts and culture.

Welcoming the eleven participating artists, Dijana Ivancic finally thanked the organizers of this exhibition, notably Miloš Mandić and Iyadh Amara, director of El Mouradi Palace.

The works on display are very diversity and reflect unique colors and imaginations. For the record, it is the first time that the artistic colony Kolut Mandic has exhibited in Tunisia, after an appointment in Spain and two others in Egypt. This is the forty-second exhibition of the Kolut Mandic to which three Tunisian artists joined.

Note that the exhibition will be visible until September 23 at El Mouradi Palace de Sousse.
