The control services under the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development began, in collaboration with the security services, the implementation of a special joint control program on the roads, on a central and regional scale, from the night of September 12 to 13, 2025.
According to preliminary data published Monday evening by the Ministry of Commerce and Development of Exports, these teams have entered 70 tonnes of vegetables and fruit as well as 112,000 pens, in addition to having oriented more than 100 tonnes of agricultural products to organized distribution circuits.
This program is part of the realization of presidential directives aimed at combating speculative and monopolistic practices, and to support the purchasing power of citizens. These operations are carried out by mixed teams covering all the governorates of the country, and continuing by rolling until morning hours.
These teams notably ensure that they control the transparency of the transport of agricultural products and other basic foodstuffs, to guarantee their circulation through regulated circuits and to prevent the activities of speculators and monopolyers preventively.
