The Tunisia pavilion at the Universal Exhibition of Osaka 2025 welcomed its 500,000ᵉ visitor, a striking milestone for this small space of 300 m² which succeeds in seducing an ever more numerous international audience.
According to the export promotion center (CEPEX), the half-millionth visitor was received in a festive atmosphere: applause, reception in the honor room and presentation of traditional craft gifts, a real condensed Tunisian heritage.
The pavilion, which is distinguished by its ability to condense a millennial heritage, modernity and projection to the future, is presented as a space that is both cultural and diplomatic. Several personalities – ministers, ambassadors, parliamentarians – have already gone there, welcoming the creativity and professionalism of design and animations.
Fitted on a modest surface, the Tunisian pavilion has established itself as an essential place where traditions and innovation intertwined. The Japanese, Asian, but also Arab and European press, has relayed this success, strengthening the international visibility of Tunisia.
In the global competition of pavilions
With its 500,000 visitors, Tunisia is among the attractive pavilions of Osaka 2025, even if the big nations retain the advantage.
Since its opening in April 2025, the United Arab Emirates pavilion has attracted more than 3 million visitors, thus positioning itself as one of the most popular of the event.
Ditto for the France pavilion, which in the space of four months, welcomed 3 million visitors, establishing itself as an essential place.
In this global concert, Tunisia is nevertheless distinguished by the originality and the cultural depth of its proposal, proving that a modest size pavilion can compete in the quality of its content.
