UThe French national announced on Facebook its withdrawal of the international flotilla “Sumoud” on the way to Gaza, invoking “the many obstacles imposed by the Tunisian authorities to prevent the departure of ships from the country”. Several other delegations have also decided to withdraw, denouncing the same difficult conditions, according to his own words.

In her message, she wanted to specify that this withdrawal did not change her constant position in favor of international efforts to break the blockade imposed on Gaza. She expressed her gratitude to the Tunisian people for their welcome and their support, and assured that she would continue to collaborate with the organizers of the flotilla, in particular the initiatives “Global Flotilla” and “Sumoud Flatilla”.

The activist also sent her encouragement to ships that have been able to leave Europe from Barcelona, Italy and Greece to reach Gaza.

The “Sumoud” flotilla is an international initiative aimed at breaking the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip and providing humanitarian aid to the inhabitants of the besieged territory.

Several ships, bringing together activists and volunteers of different nationalities, have tried to leave Tunisia and other Mediterranean ports. The initiative aims to be a symbol of solidarity with the Palestinians and draws international attention to the humanitarian situation in the region.

The withdrawal of certain participants, including this French national, underlines the difficulties encountered in organizing this type of initiatives from the region and tensions around freedom of navigation and humanitarian support, in addition to the bad organizations of organization.
