Boubaker Bethabet: Elected Bâtonnier, a mandate for freedom and unity

Lawyer Boubaker Bethabet was elected Saturday September 13, 2025 new president of the national order of Tunisian lawyerssucceeding Hatem Mziou. His victory in the first round, with 2193 votesassures him a clear majority in the face of his eight competitors, including Mohamed Mahjoub Mahjoub (498 votes) and Mohamed Hedfi (422). More than Four thousand lawyers participated in the poll, illustrating the importance and commitment of the profession in this electoral process.

He also indicated that he intended to concentrate his mandate on the cohesion of the profession, the representation of lawyers and the strengthening of structures of the orderwhile promoting good practices in the exercise of the profession.

This election marks a Renewal at the head of the profession And lays down the basis of a mandate turned towards the consolidation of the values ​​of justice and respect for the rule of law, in a context where Tunisia continues to affirm the importance of its professional institutions and its independent bodies.
