* Dense traffic expected from September 15

On the occasion of the start of the school year, The Ministry of the Interior warns against a high traffic density from Monday, September 15, 2025. The disturbances should be particularly marked at the southern entrance to the capital, due to the return of motorists from the interior of the country and the development work still in progress on this strategic axis.

Alternative routes offered

To limit traffic jams, the authorities recommend several substitution courses:

  • By national road n ° 1: borrow the ramp in the direction of the Radès stadium, then go through the crossroads of the new medina and that of Radès-Choucha, before joining the Radès-La Goulette bridge. This route provides access to the center of Tunis as well as to the North suburbs. Another option is to use the ramp located near the habitat bank, also leading to the Radès-Choucha bridge.
  • By the Pont de la Cagna: then cross the Ouardia 1 and 2 crossroads towards Place Bab Alioua, then take the revolon bridge, rue Moncef Bey and finally rue du Maghreb Arabe (Route Z4).

Call for vigilance and road discipline

The Ministry of the Interior urges all road users to respect the highway code and safety rules. Additional teams and material means have been mobilized in order to streamline traffic and assist motorists.

If necessary, users may contact the competent services to the following numbers: 71.343.201 or 71,342,787.
