Tunisia – Egypt: an 18ᵉ mixed commission to seal new agreements

The government’s chef, Sarra Zafrani Zenzeri, made an official visit to Egypt on September 10 and 11, 2025. Mandated by President Kaïs Saïed, she will co-reside with her Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly, the 18ᵉ session of the Tunisian-Egyptian mixed commission. This meeting must lead to new cooperation agreements in various sectors, in a context of common will to strengthen bilateral relations.

Sarra Zafrani Zenzeri began a two -day visit on Wednesday, September 10 in Cairo. She officially represents President Kaïs Saïed to co-resist with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madouly, the 18ᵉ session of the Tuniso-Egyptian mixed commission. This body constitutes a strategic framework for dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.

Agreements expected in several areas

The work of this session must lead to the signing of cooperation agreements, memorandums of understanding and executive programs covering various sectors: economy, trade, energy, agriculture, health, education, technologies, culture and youth. The displayed objective is to intensify exchanges and give new momentum to the Tuniso-Egyptian partnership.

An economic forum to bring investors closer

In parallel with the mixed commission, Egypt hosts a Tuniso-Egyptian economic forum. This meeting brings together entrepreneurs and investors from the two countries in order to explore new cooperation opportunities in the economic and social fields.

A fleshed Tunisian delegation

The government’s heading is accompanied by an important ministerial delegation including in particular the Minister of the Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, and the Minister of Trade and Development of Exports, Samir Abid, as well as an important delegation composed of leaders of the Presidency of the Government and representatives of the Ministries of the Interior; foreign affairs; finances; industry; health; of the economy; social affairs; trade; agriculture; education; higher education; youth and sports; information and communication technologies; transport; tourism; family; cultural affairs; and employment.
