Who is Francesca Albanese?
Francesca Albanese is the author of a very critical relationship, in which she calls into question the role of several multinationals which, according to her, directly or indirectly support military activities and Israeli colonization in the Palestinian territories.
She denounces in particular financial ties to the Israeli army and calls for international criminal responsibility for those who feed, in her words, “the occupation and apartheid system”.
Albanese also supports the steps taken by the International Criminal Court (ICC) aimed at pursuing Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, for war crimes in the Gaza Strip and in the West Bank.
The Italian lawyer, appointed in 2022 by the UN Human Rights Council, is regularly targeted by pro-Israeli circles, who accuse her of partiality. His reports, documented but often virulent, propelled her at the heart of many controversies, especially after Israeli bombings on Rafah and the prolonged seat of Gaza.
