The Chinese group Jetty Automotive Technologyspecialized in the manufacture of automobile components, inaugurated this Monday, September 8, 2025 in Borj Cedria (Ben Arous governorate) its first production site in Tunisia on Monday 8 September.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, Fatma Thabet Chiboubregional authorities as well as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group and several partners in the sector.
This project, carried out through the subsidiary Jieyi Automotive Technology created in Tunisia in March 2025, represents an investment of nearly 24 million dinars. The factory specializes in the production of high quality car cables, an expanding area. She should generate 700 additional jobs from 2026thus helping to energize the national industrial fabric.
In her intervention, the Minister stressed that this establishment illustrates the will of the government of Strengthen Tuniso-Chinese economic relations And to support the upmarket of industries with high technological value. She added that this project will consolidate the attractiveness of Tunisia for major international investors.
Chiboub also recalled that the manufacturing of automotive equipment and components Today is one of the most promising poles in Tunisian industry.
