The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) published a yellow vigilance card for the governorates of KEF, Siliana, Kairouan, Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid, Sfax, Gafsa, Gafsa and Gabès on Saturday due to expected meteorological disturbances.
Storms, rains and strong winds
According to the INM, the situation is characterized by local thunderstorms, which can lead to rains and hail falls in places, as well as gusts of wind temporarily exceeding 60 km/h under thunderstorms.
Vigilance instructions
Yellow vigilance calls for caution when practicing activities sensitive to meteorological risk. The alert also allows civil security services and health authorities to prepare and mobilize intervention teams and health structures if necessary.
