Tunisian customs published, this Monday, September 1, 2025, the summer traffic figures for travelers and vehicles. More than 252,000 passengers and 89,237 vehicles were recorded on arrival between June and August, a flow qualified as “exceptional” by the institution’s spokesperson.
According to General Chokri Jebri, Customs spokesperson, customs services recorded more than 252,000 travelers and 89,237 incoming vehicles during the summer season. At the start, the number of passengers exceeded 173,800, with more than 56,400 vehicles identified.
Record traffic
Invited on Mosaique FM, General Jebri qualified the season as “remarkable” and welcomed his smooth running:
“This season took place fluidity. The speed of procedures was much appreciated by our community abroad ”.
A new customs approach
To explain this success, the spokesperson has highlighted a strategy to modernize procedures which range from the acceleration of formalities to reduce waiting times for intelligent flow management, including priority to travelers and their goods.
