The President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed and his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune exchanged, yesterday Monday March 31, 2025, wishes during Eid El-Fitr, during a telephone interview.
In an official press release, the Presidency of the Tunisian Republic said that this discussion was an opportunity to reaffirm the solid fraternal links uniting the two countries and their peoples, as well as their common desire to strengthen cooperation in various fields.
The two heads of state also agreed to organize a meeting in the near future. This meeting could be an opportunity to tackle several strategic files, including the question of irregular migration, an increasingly pressing subject in bilateral and regional relations.
Tunisia and Algeria, both concerned by migratory flows in the Mediterranean, could thus explore joint solutions to better manage this phenomenon, in a framework of reinforced cooperation.
