The various units of the district of the Kef National Guard, Monastir, Sousse, Sfax and Bizerte, in coordination with the services to combat terrorism, arrested seven Takfirist elements, according to a press release published this Tuesday by the General Directorate of the National Guard.
The press release specifies that arrested people were the subject of research mandates issued by various security units and judicial bodies for suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization.
They were sentenced to prison terms ranging from two to three years.
The authorities have taken the legal measures necessary to coordinate them with the public prosecutor.
The Directorate General of the National Guard also called on citizens to collaborate with the security forces and to report any suspicious information by calling on 71860135, in order to strengthen public security and preserve the security of the country and its citizens.
