The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received yesterday, Wednesday, at the Palais de Carthage, the Minister of Equipment and Housing, Salah Zouari.
During this meeting, the head of state insisted on the need to accelerate the realization of several projects launched and then interrupted, while their funding is already allocated. He cited as an example the Kairouan swimming pool, which he had visited the day before Eid El-Fitr, recalling that the funds are available and that the legal procedures were finalized, for no reasonable reason for the suspension of the works.
The president also mentioned other major projects, giving instructions to identify those who are blocked and engage the legal responsibility of those who are at the origin.
He stressed that it is the people who pay the price, through the interests of loans, while remaining in the wait and undergoing the consequences of these delays.
