The Ministry of Commerce and Development of Exports intensifies its efforts to generalize electronic billing in the wholesale markets through all governorates and to develop and organize the distribution channels, as part of monitoring ministerial visits to Monastir and Mahdia in 2024 and 2025.
Objectives of the generalization of electronic billing
This initiative aims to ensure the transparency of commercial transactions; unify market players and reduce the role of intermediaries and speculators; Finally, optimize the organization and functioning of wholesale markets under the supervision of the Tunisian company of wholesale markets.
Deployment provided by regions
The implementation of electronic invoicing will be done in steps:
- October 1, 2025: Complete deployment to the wholesale markets of Moknine fruits and vegetables and Pisces from Teboulba (Monastir) after agreement between the company, the local and regional authorities.
- At the end of 2025: commissioning in the wholesale markets of Chebba and Salakta fish and El Jem, Ksour Essef (Mahdia), following an agreement concluded at the headquarters of the governorate.
The Ministry of Commerce and Development of Exports, in coordination with the Tunisian wholesale markets and the regional authorities, will ensure regular monitoring of the progress of the generalization of electronic invoicing in order to meet deadlines and achieve the objectives set.
