In a climate marked by an increased fear around the safety of schools, the municipality of Sousse proceeded this Tuesday, April 15, 2025 to the demolition of two ruined walls threatening the physical integrity of the students, within the primary schools Kodia Malek and Sidi Abdelhamid.
The intervention, conducted under the supervision of the regional delegation of education, is part of a prevention dynamic launched nationally after the drama that occurred recently in Mazzouna.
As a reminder, three students had tragically lost their lives in Mazzouna, in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid, following the collapse of a dilapidated wall in a primary school. This drama has aroused a shock wave throughout the country and highlighted the alarming state of many school infrastructure.
“After being alerted by the Regional Education Delegation on the situation of these two threatening walls in the establishments of Kodia Malek and Sidi Abdelhamid, we immediately responded,” a manager of the Municipality of Sousse told Mosaic.
“It is not only a question of responding to a request, but of showing responsibility after the lessons learned from the drama of Mazzouna. », We explained.
