The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, received this Thursday, April 17, the Japanese ambassador to Tunisia, Takeshi Osuga, as part of preparations for the next bilateral and international deadlines, including the 9th edition of the Tokyo International Conference on the development of Africa (Ticad 9), scheduled for August 20 Yokohama.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was an opportunity for both parties to take stock of the key axes of Tunisian-Japanese cooperation, in particular in the economic, financial and technical fields, according to an official press release.
The Ticad 8, organized in Tunis in 2022, had marked an important step in the partnership between the two countries. The year 2026 is also promised, with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tunisia and Japan, as well as the 50 years of active cooperation with JICA (Japanese international cooperation agency).
