The National Institute of Meteorology provides for the arrival of thunderstorm rains from the end of the day this Sunday, April 20.
These weather conditions will start in the Western regions before gradually spreading to the eastern areas of the north and the center of the country. Precipitation could be particularly intense in the governorates of Jendouba, Béja, Siliana, Kef and Kasserine, with cumulatives expected between 20 and 40 mm.
Hay falls are possible in certain areas, accompanied by strong winds that can temporarily exceed 80 km/h, in particular on reliefs and in the south, where phenomena of dust and sand lifting are expected.
The rains will persist on Monday April 21, 2025, touching the north and the center of the country, with strong thunderstorms, especially in the Sahl region and in the governorates of Sfax, Sidi Bouzid and Gabès, where the cumulative rain can reach 30 to 50 mm.
