On Friday April 18, 2025, Hamadi Habaieb, Secretary of State to the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, in charge of waters, supervised the closure of the Mission to follow up projects funded by the African Development Bank (BAD), which took place from April 7 to 18, 2025.
This session brought together a BAD team as well as representatives of the central administrations responsible for the following projects:
The project to enhance irrigated areas through the development of value chains in the Center governorates (PVPI-DCV)
The Emergency Food Security Support Project (Pausat),
The sustainable and integrated development support project in the cereal sector (Padidfic),
The technical support project for digitization and innovation in the cereal sector (Patdidfic).
During this session, the results of the mission were presented, addressing various aspects of project activities as well as proposals aimed at meeting challenges and improving performance. A return was also made on the field visits made in the governorates of Kasserine and Kairouan, followed by the stakeholders and the beneficiaries of the projects.
Habaieb expressed support for the proposals made, calling for accelerating the completion of the remaining components of projects as soon as possible. He also insisted on the need to overcome obstacles in the coming days and to exploit these resources to better face climate change.
