Tunisie Telecom strengthens data security

In an era where rapid digitalization requires always higher reliability, safety and transparency requirements, the Data Center Carthage of Tunisie Telecom marks a strategic turning point by resolutely engaging in a multinorma certification process.

This orientation is part of the national operator’s desire to position himself as a benchmark player in the regional and international digital ecosystem.

Concretely, the Center has set up an integrated management system (SMI) which brings together three major international standards:

ISO 9001: 2015 for quality management, guaranteeing services in accordance with customer requirements and in constant improvement,
ISO 27001: 2022 for information security, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and the prevention of cyberrencies,
ISO 27701: 2019 for the management of privacy, ensuring regulatory compliance in terms of personal data protection, both for customers and for employees.

This normative triptych places the Data Center Carthage among the rare Tunisian infrastructure to claim such a high level of requirement in terms of governance and digital security.

According to Lassaâd Ben Dhiab, Chairman and CEO of Tunisie Telecom, this approach reflects a clear vision: “House Tunisie Telecom at the highest level of excellence, by focusing on innovation, reliability and customer satisfaction at each stage of the course”.

The adoption of this SMI is not limited to an image operation. It reflects a corporate culture oriented towards sustainable performance, where each employee of the data center is involved in a logic of continuous improvement. The initiative also aims to strengthen the confidence of public and private partners, in particular those from sensitive sectors such as finance, health or e-government.

Furthermore, this strategic development is involved in a regional context where digital sovereignty becomes a crucial issue. Through this approach, Tunisie Telecom clearly displays its ambitions: making Data Center Carthage a digital reference hub for North Africa and the Mediterranean.
