The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received the Minister of Finance, Mechkat Salama Khaldi, as well as the governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Fathi Zouheir Ennouri on Monday 21, 2025 on Monday April 21225.

During this meeting, the country’s financial situation was at the heart of trade. The Head of State stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of all state institutions to deal with current economic challenges. He insisted on the need for mutual support between the different components of the public apparatus in order to strengthen the financial resilience of Tunisia.

Kaïs Saïed welcomed the results obtained thanks to the economic choices deemed sovereign and coherent. He said that these guidelines have made it possible to control the inflation rate and respect all the country’s financial commitments, despite a tense international context.

In addition, the president wanted to recall that all banking institutions – whether public or private – are required to strictly comply with Tunisian law, without exception. A way of reaffirming state authority over the financial system and strengthening transparency and discipline in the banking sector.
