The office of the Assembly of People’s Representatives formalized, this Wednesday, the withdrawal of a bill on the creation of the Constitutional Court. The text, deposited under number 2025/27, becomes obsolete after the withdrawal of five of the ten signatory deputies.
The withdrawal was publicly confirmed by several parliamentarians, including Syrine Mrabet and Asma Derouiche, who relayed information on their social networks. The proposal had been sent to the General Legislation Commission following a meeting of the parliamentary office on April 17, but will not go further.
Originally, the text was to establish the legal framework of the future Constitutional Court, defining its composition, functioning and skills.
