332 million dinars committed to support SMEs

The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy held, on April 23, 2025, a meeting devoted to monitoring the financial restructuring program for small and medium -sized enterprises.

The meeting, chaired by Minister Fatma Thabet Chiboub, brought together representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the Tunisian Guarantor and Banking Council.

Three files were examined by the Steering Committee: an international and logistical transport company, another specialized in tourism maritime transport – whose assessment of the second year of the program was presented -, and a company in the agrifood sector requesting an additional period to complete its restructuring.

Since the launch of this program, 150 restructuring plans have been validated. The State has committed up to 332 million dinars, distributed as follows:

280 million dinars in re -engagement loans (85 %)

50 million in participatory loans (15 %)

1 million for diagnoses and support

142 thousand dinars for monitoring the execution of programs

To date, 250 million dinars have been spent. This system aims to help SMEs overcome their financial difficulties while maintaining their activities and jobs.
