A high -level delegation representing three Chinese companies among the world leaders in automotive components made a prospecting visit this week in Tunisia, in order to assess the opportunities for industrial implantation in the country. The information was announced on Friday by the external investment promotion agency (FIPA-Tunisia).
The members of the delegation were welcomed within the Bizerte economic activity park, at the headquarters of the American company CASCO – AMPHENOL GROUP, already located in the region.
On site, they were received by the site director, Islem Darmoul, in the presence of the CEO of the Park, Badia Klibi, as well as the Director General of Fipa-Tunisia, Jalel Tebib.
This visit is a growing interest in Tunisia as a leading industrial and logistics platform, capable of meeting the requirements of European, American and Asian markets.
With its geographic proximity to Europe, its preferential trade agreements and its strategic positioning on the African continent, Tunisia appears to be an increasingly attractive destination for investors in the automotive sector.
According to FIPA-TUNISIA, Chinese manufacturers have expressed concrete interest in the development of production sites on Tunisian soil. Such a project would not only strengthen global value chains, but also to stimulate local industrial integration and create qualified jobs.
The Tunisian investment promotion agency reiterated, on this occasion, its commitment to supporting foreign investors throughout their journey – from the feasibility study to the realization of projects – and to encourage partnerships likely to generate shared and sustainable growth.
