The Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, and the director of the World Bank office in Tunis, Alexandre Arobbio, signed a financing agreement in the amount of 96.1 million euros, or around 319.3 million Tunisian dinars. This agreement aims to support the project to support higher education for innovation, resilience and improvement of employability.
The duration of reimbursement of this agreement extends over 28 years, including 8 years of grace.
On the occasion of his meeting with the Vice-President of the World Bank, Ethiopis Tafara, on the sidelines of his participation on the third day of the spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Samir Abdelhafidh praised the cooperation between Tunisia and the financial institution in several strategic sectors, such as renewable energies, public-private partnership.
For his part, the Vice-President of the World Bank has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthen this collaboration, in particular in the priority fields for Tunisia, by providing the necessary financial support and technical assistance.
