Dozens of supporters of the President of the Kaïs Saïed Republic and defenders of the July 25 process gathered this Thursday, May 1, 2025, on Avenue Habib Bourguiba in Tunis, in front of the municipal theater, during a sit-in which brought together citizens from different regions of the country, including several governorates of the interior.
The demonstrators have brandished slogans calling for respect for national sovereignty and rejecting any foreign interference in Tunisian affairs, in reference to certain recent European declarations relating to the judgments rendered in what is media covered as the “conspiracy against state security”.
In a declaration to the media, Douha Ahouel, activist of civil society and member of the Marche organizing committee, said that the participants expressed their total support for President Kaïs Saïed and their categorical opposition to any foreign intervention.
She also called for “the purge of corrupt administration, the use of the unemployed and accountability for the corrupt”, according to her words.
