Security campaigns carried out by several police brigades against drug traffickers in different regions have enabled the seizure of variable quantities of cannabis and cocaine.
They also led to the arrest of 26 people sought after, as well as the seizure of a sum of money exceeding 10,000 dinars, according to a press release from the Directorate General of National Security.
This operation is part of the continuation of the national campaign aimed at tracking down the sought-after individuals, in particular the dangerous elements involved in drug trafficking, led by regional drugs to combat drugs belonging to the specialized sub-directorate of the judicial police.
During these campaigns, the units of regional drugs to combat drugs in Sousse, Sfax, Gabès, Médenine, Gafsa, Nabeul, Bizerte and Kef succeeded in:
• Stop 26 people wanted, including three women involved in drug affairs, including a dangerous classified individual.
• Enter variable quantities of cocaine and cannabis.
• Enter a sum of money of 10,700 dinars.
After consultation with the representative of the public prosecutor, he was ordered to place all suspects in police custody. The investigation continues.
