On the occasion of the National Day of Agriculture, also known as the Festival of the Agricultural Liberation, mixed professional groups and the Office of Tomasic Lands, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, will organize a fair entitled “From the farm to the consumer”, from May 11 to 13, 2025 on Avenue Habib Bourguiba in Tunis.
This initiative aims to bring citizens closer to local agricultural products by offering them prices aligned on those of wholesale markets. According to Tarek Tira, assistant director of export development within the professional fruit group, around 20 producers will participate in the event, offering on a surface of 450 m² a wide variety of fresh and processed products.
Vegetables, seasonal fruits, poultry, cheeses, fish, but also pomegranate, orange, olive oil and dates, apricots and citrus products will be available at preferential prices.
The organizers rely on a strong crowd of the public, called upon to support national agriculture by taking advantage of this direct sale from producer to consumer.
