The Tunisia Embassy in Tripoli calls its nationals to the greatest caution

Faced with the deterioration of the security situation in Tripoli, the Tunisia Embassy in Libya urged members of the Tunisian community to show increased vigilance.

In a statement released on the night of Monday to Tuesday on its official Facebook page, diplomatic representation recommends that Tunisian nationals stay at home and avoid any trip until further notice.

This call comes following declarations by the Libyan authorities, and aims to protect Tunisians residing in the Libyan capital, currently plagued by tensions.

According to the Libyan news agency Lana, armed clashes broke out on Monday evening in several Tripoli districts, following the death, in still vague circumstances, of the head of the stability support apparatus, under the presidential council.

The Libyan Ministry of the Interior, for its part, called on all the inhabitants of the capital to stay at home and show the greatest caution.
