According to a monitoring form published by the National Institute of Meteorology, the weather situation will be conducive, from this afternoon (Tuesday), to the appearance of thunderstorm cells accompanied by rains in the western and center of the country regions.
These rains will gradually extend to all areas of the center and will sometimes be intense, with locally abundant hail falls, especially in the governorates of Kasserine, Kef, Siliana and Kairouan. The accumulation of precipitation could reach between 20 and 40 mm.
For the day of tomorrow, Wednesday, strong winds with very strong will blow on the regions of the center and south, with speeds varying between 60 and 80 km/h. These winds will lift sand and dust, reducing visibility in places.
Next night as well as Thursday will also have a favorable time for thunderstorms, temporarily intense in most regions, with locally abundant rainy episodes in the North and the country’s eastern areas.
