The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Massoud Bazkeshian, received the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, accompanied by a group of delegation leaders participating in the high -level ministerial meeting of the Ministers of Science and Technology of Islamic countries, held in Tehran on May 19, 2025, around the theme: “Innovation in science and technology through the exploitation of artificial intelligence”.
According to a press release published this Wednesday by the Ministry of Higher Education, the Iranian President said that ** The holding of this meeting constitutes a favorable platform for scientists from the Islamic world in order to reach a common vision and language **, insisting on ** the need for Islamic countries to support each other and to encourage each other in various fields **.
He also expressed the provision of the Islamic Republic of Iran to any form of cooperation, in particular in the scientific field, with Islamic countries.
On this occasion, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research also had an interview with his Iranian counterpart in science and technology, Hossein Simaii. The two parties have agreed to support the common scientific and technological programs between the two countries and to hold as soon as possible the mixed scientific and technological cooperation commission.
Accompanied by his Indonesian counterpart and the Tunisian ambassador to Tehran, the Minister also made a visit to the ** Iranian organization for scientific and industrial research, an opportunity to discuss the means of exchange of technological know-how, implementation of joint research projects, and organization of common scientific and technological events. The delegation was also able to read the scientific and technological capacities and achievements of the organization and examined the means of strengthening scientific, technological and industrial cooperation with homologous structures and institutions, both at bilateral and multilateral level.
