The Ministry of Commerce and Export Development called, this Thursday, May 22, 2025, the farmers and breeders directly supply the official points of sale, by settling on these markets while avoiding intermediaries and speculators.
In a press release, the ministry indicates that, to facilitate their trips and prove their quality, breeders can present their professional card or request it from regional agricultural services or the professional structures concerned. They can also obtain specific certificates to exercise their activity during this period.
The ministry also encouraged professionals to adopt the sale to weight, in order to guarantee transparency of transactions and compliance with the reference price set at 21,900 dinars per kilogram.
He also invited citizens to obtain only in official points of sale and markets for sale to weight, to protect their rights and preserve their purchasing power.
The ministry has announced that the Tunisian Viande company will provide large quantities of lamb and beef, which will be distributed by butchers and supermarkets, at the following caps for consumers:
38,900 dinars per kilogram of lamb meat
37,900 dinars the kilogram of beef net
34 dinars of “joumana” of beef
28,300 dinars The kilogram of beef chest
The sale prices of the Tunisian company of butchers are fixed at 35,900 dinars/kg for lamb and 28,300 dinars/kg for beef.
The ministry has finally urged all players in the sector to show responsibility and to participate in a collective effort aimed at maintaining reasonable prices, for the sake of balance between the interests of producers and those of consumers.
