The Tunisian Minister of Transport, Rached Amari, received in the morning of Thursday, May 22, 2025 the ambassador of the Republic of Brazil to Tunisia, Fernando José Marroni of Zbreu. A meeting under the sign of the strengthening of bilateral links between the two countries.
The two parties welcomed the quality of friendship relationships that unite Tunisia and Brazil, highlighting the existence of major opportunities to further develop cooperation, especially in the economic field. The natural wealth, the historical heritage and the human capital of the two countries have been identified as key assets to build solid partnerships.
The Minister of Transport highlighted the strategic importance of the transport sector in the rapprochement between the two countries, the revitalization of trade and the facilitation of the mobility of travelers. He also affirmed Tunisia’s desire to strengthen this cooperation through concrete programs, in particular in the field of civil aviation, with a view of mutual interest.
For his part, the Brazil’s ambassador reiterated his country’s interest in the opening towards new markets, especially in Africa. He expressed great interest in the Tunisian destination, both touristy, commercial and investing.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to continue the technical consultations between experts from the two countries in order to identify the axes of cooperation and the most suitable implementation mechanisms.
