The treasurer of the national chamber of real estate developers, Hachemi Mliani, announced this Monday, May 26, 2025 that the Chamber developed a complete study aimed at allowing Tunisians to acquire accommodation.

A proposal project has been written for this purpose and will soon be subject to the Ministries of Finance and Equipment.

In a declaration on national radio, Mliani explained that the Chamber offers a property transfer mechanism through the rental.

He stressed that this mechanism requires the application of a key interest rate of 3 % so that citizens can access ownership under affordable conditions.

He also drew attention to the outbreak of real estate prices in Tunisia, which he mainly attributes to the rise in prices of building materials and the increase in wages in the sector.
