Tunisian justice has condemned a man to 37 years in prison in ability to incite the assassination of a deputy, through publications on social networks. The young man, on the run, is also accused of belonging to a terrorist organization and accusation of apostasy.

The criminal chamber specializing in terrorism business of the Tunis court of first instance sentenced a young man to a 37 -year prison sentence, with immediate execution. This decision follows a complaint filed by a MP for Parliament, targeting publications broadcast on its official Facebook page.

The young man, currently on the run, is accused of having encouraged the assassination of the deputy and of having qualified him as apostate in his online messages. Justice has retained several charges against him: twenty years in prison for incitement to murder, twelve years for suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization, as well as five years for accusation of apostasy.

In addition, the criminal chamber ordered that the convicted person will be placed under administrative surveillance for a period of five years after his imprisonment, in order to prevent any risk linked to his behavior.
