A working meeting was held on Friday under the presidency of the Minister of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Maritime Fisheries, Ezzeddine Ben Cheikh, in the presence of representatives of the ministries and structures concerned.
It was devoted to monitoring the implementation of the main recommendations, measures and actions aimed at providing concrete solutions to Land landslides recorded in Sidi Bou Saïd.
During the session, a detailed presentation was presented on the current situation of the site and the actions already undertaken to protect the area. The members of the Committee stressed that the state of the set concerned has become critical, due to natural and geological factors specific to the region. They also agreed that erosion phenomena go back to several years.
On this occasion, the Minister called for a rapid and coordinated intervention of all stakeholders in order to limit potential risks.
In addition to the administrative monitoring and control measures ensured by the various structures, it has been agreed to carry out a technical inspection with the participation of specialized experts.
It has also been decided to launch the process of developing a specifications to recruit a design office, responsible for updating the old studies available and offering concrete technical solutions to stem the shifts.
