The unions of the Tunis Transport Company (TransTU) and the National Interurban Transport Company (SNTRI) decided to postpone the strike scheduled for August 7 and 8, 2025.
Meeting this Wednesday, August 6 at the UGTT headquarters, in the presence of union officials including Slaheddine Selmi and Wajih Zaydi, they opted for a stay in favor of the dialogue.
This postponement comes after the unilateral cancellation by the Directorate of Labor Conflicts of the Conciliation Sessions programmed on August 4 and 5, a decision strongly criticized by the unions. The latter denounce a blockage of negotiations and reaffirm their desire to defend the rights of public transport agents.
The General Federation of Transport stresses that this postponement does not mean abandonment of claims, but proof of responsibility. She calls on the Ministry of Transport to relaunch discussions as soon as possible to avoid a new escalation.
