The executive office of the General Federation of Transport, affiliated with UGTT, announced in a press release published on its Facebook page, this Saturday, August 9, 2025, the postponement of the strike initially scheduled for the August 12 and 13, 2025 in all airports in the country.
According to the press release, this decision was made to preserve national interest and avoid any negative impact on the air sector, considered as a vital public service, in particular in a context marked by strict international commitments which require responsible and cautious management.
The Federation stressed that this postponement aims to offer a new chance to dialogue and serious negotiations, in order to guarantee compliance with previous agreements, the protection of agents’ rights and stability in the sector.
She recalled that the strike is not an end in itself, but a legitimate measure to assert fair professional and financial demands. However, she suggested that all mobilization options remain open if no satisfactory agreement is found.
