Customs services at the port of La Goulette Nord intercepted a large amount of cannabis carefully hidden inside a car belonging to a Tunisian traveler living abroad.
According to the Communiqué published this Tuesday, August 12, 2025 by the Directorate General of Customsthe vehicle was submitted to the control scanner and inspected by the Cynophile unit, which aroused suspicion of the presence of smuggling goods.
A meticulous control carried out by customs agents made it possible to discover 360 cannabis plates, weighing a total of 36,170 grams.
A seizure report was established and, after consulting the prosecution, the case was entrusted to the competent security services for the continuation of the investigation.
