Tunisia strongly denounced the declarations of the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation about what it called the “Vision of the great Israel”. In an official press release, Tunis castigated comments qualified as provocation with regard to Arab countries and damage to their sovereignty, seeing it as a blatant violation of international law and the principles of international legality, in a context of global helplessness to put an end to what it describes as Israeli “arrogance”.
According to Tunisian diplomacy, these declarations only reflect “the colonial, expansionist and racist mentality” of an “outlaw” state, accused of crimes of genocide, war crimes and ethnic purification against the Palestinian people.
Tunis also sees it as a new attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause and destabilize the region.
Reaffirming its total solidarity with the targeted Arab countries, Tunisia calls for the international community, and in particular the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and to act urgently to counter these “aggressive policies” which it considers a direct threat to Arab national security, international peace and security.
